I began this blog in mid-May 2016, I opened a twitter account JesusDaybyDay in 2009. I registered jesusdaybyday.org somewhere in between.
My intention is just to share the way that Jesus meets me in the day to day. I have come out of religion (partially, mostly, I hope). The problem with coming out of religion is that it can be done, … religiously. So what I am going to do mostly is to just talk about what I am coming into. Into a relationship with Jesus. Into knowing Him. And like most relationships, it is build over time, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. This is not “the” journey. I won’t say that it (the method) will work for anyone else. But relationships are never about methods. I won’t try to buy your wife flowers, so that I too can develop a relationship with her. She might actually resent that. Same with Jesus. He has a private name for us that He will only share with us. My name won’t be yours.
But maybe this blog will help encourage you to look for Jesus in the day to day. After all, He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and is called “Emmanuel” or “Immanuel” (depending on the translation), which means “God with us.” (Matt 1:23)
